2005

So here I am, copying&pasting the questions that Narami wrote in her diary and I'll do the same thing as well. Also, I'm going to practice my english a little bit...

1.What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
This is really easy actually. I had a girlfriend. I flew in airplane for the first time. I went out of Mexico for the first time. I saw the Atlantic Ocean too. I got drunk with sidra asturiana. I traveled alone, visiting new places. I lived by myself for a week and with a roommate that I didn't meet until I got to Oviedo (Spain) for four months. So many things! Just imagine all the new things you can do out of your place...

2. Did you keep your new years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Yes, I did.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
In fact yes: two cousins and one classmate.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thanks God.

5. What countries did you visit?
I went to: Spain, France, England, Italy, Germany, Hungary and I traveled across Swiss and Slovenia.

6. What would you like to have in 2006?
Health, happiness and energy to complete all my goals. I would like to share more time with my family and learn two languages more.

7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
May first: because that day Carmen and I got together.
July 14th: That day I was in Paris celebrating la Prise de la Bastille and my birthday as well :D
I would be here writing all the calendar because each day was important to me. Specially this past year.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
To leave my parents house for the first time.

9. What was your biggest failure?
I'm not sure. It was an excellent year.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not at all. But I had stomachache while I was trying to get adapted to spanish food.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Some presents which wasn't for me and all the souvenir I brought to family and friends.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Angelica's because she has been living only with her sister while she's working and studying. Although a lot of people in Oviedo also grew up mentally.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I suppose my own behavior. I have always believed that no one can change your mind if you don't let them do it.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Travel.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Going to Spain! I was looking forward for that experience since I got into college and finally I did it.

16. What song will always remind you of 2005?
For this question I need at least to choose three songs:
Coti Sorokin feat. Julieta Venegas & Paulina Rubio - Nada de esto fue un error.
Fonoda - Neu Mit Haus Und Den Menschen Und Dort.
Sigur Rós - Hoppipolla.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? Maybe a little bit fatter, but I'm still thin.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer spiritually and wiser.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Physical exercise.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
I dunno.

In 2006? I don't know yet.

21. Did you fall in love in 2005?
Happily yes... So cheesy...

22. How many one-night stands?
What do you mean? Are you talking about being in a hotel or watching movies all night? Thank God I don't speak english that well... :D

23. What was your favorite TV program?
I didn't see TV that much.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope.

25. What was the best book you read?

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 21 years old and I was in Paris!!! I went Eiffel Tower, Louvre museum and Notre Dame. I ate kebabs instead of cake but it was yummy.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Maybe staying six months more in Oviedo.

What the heck is fashion???

33. What kept you sane?
My family and my conscience...

There were many political issues that stirred the world and doesn't finish yet, so I'm still concerned.

36. Who did you miss?
Family and friends.

37. Who was the best new person you met?
This is a hard one. Besides Carmen, I met Clare from Ireland a wise and special woman, she rules. All my friends at Oviedo...

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005.
There's no more life that the one you have today and this life joins together past, present and future at the same time.

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.

JULIETA VENEGAS - Oleada

No quisiera detener
esta oleada que me lleva
a dónde adonde no lo sé,
sólo me muevo con ella
Y nadie ahí me conocerá
y a nadie ahí reconoceré
pero no tengo miedo.

Y todo lo que he vivido
lo sigo cargando.
Lo llevo muy dentro de mí
nunca lo he olvidado,
lo siento tan cerca de aquí
lo llevo muy dentro de mí

Voy en busca de un lugar,
en este mundo abierto
donde me pueda yo quedar,
para empezar de nuevo.

Y nadie ahí me conocerá
y a nadie ahí reconoceré
pero no tengo miedo.

Y todo lo que ya viví
lo sigo cargando.
Lo llevo muy dentro de mí
nunca lo he olvidado,
lo siento tan cerca de aquí,
lo llevo muy dentro de mí...

I'll see you in my dreams dear 2005.
